One more "Day in the life" picture, and then the gloves come off...
Mowing the lawn in a kilt. This one got some looks from the neighors...
Now, don't get me wrong. I like the guys in the lead, I do. It doesn't mean I don't want Team JayG to beat them all like a rented mule... I want to take the next 13 days and work my kilted butt off to claw my way back to the top. If not the #1 position, I want to get back into the top three. I want someone to get that lower parts kit with the special York Arms lower.
So, what's it going to take to get your money? Borepatch has his ringer, offering a signed copy of "The Book of Barkley," and I do have to admit that's a pretty awesome prize. But, darnit, we've got a one-of-a-kind York Arms stripped lower receiver here. You can't buy this from Brownells. You can't go down to your favorite gun shop and say to the guy behind the counter, "Please sell me that Kilted To Kick Cancer York Arms lower" - because the only way to get it is to win it, and the only way to win it is to make a donation to Team JayG.
Obviously, I have not groveled sufficiently. Folks, I'm begging here, with tears in my eyes. On bended knee. Knees, even. Knees knobbled - to the bone - from wearing a kilt down in the word mines, slaving away trying to come up with just the right incentive to get you to donate to Kilted to Kick Cancer on behalf of Team JayG. If there's a pose you'd like to see, make me an offer. My dignity is on sale here, and it's going surprisingly cheap. Get me back into that shiny winner's circle, I'm begging you...
We do have another prize, actually. Reader JFT e-mailed me, told me that he would be sending in a donation later, but wanted to offer something to help the cause. He's throwing in a 30-round PMag (if the winner is in a free state; if not, I will send a pre-ban 30-rounder in its place if allowed):
Thanks JFT. That means a lot to me and Team JayG.
Remember, if you donate to KTKC on behalf of Team JayG, you get a shot at winning a York Arms lower and a parts kit with which to finish it. Everyone that donates gets a chance to win it. Every $5 is one chance (i.e. if you donate $25 you get 5 chances). As I've done in years past, I'll assign everyone numbers based on their chances and run a random number generator to determine a winner. Everyone who donates and e-mails me gets a shot.
- Go here: Kilted to Kick Cancer Donate.
- Click an amount, or add in a custom amount, then check the box next to "This donation is made as part of a Fundraising Team".
- You'll see "Fundraising Team:" and a drop-down box. Pull up "Team JayG".
I am not too proud to beg, folks...
That is all.
