Friday Car Pr0n #37

I tried to think of the most American car I could. And then it hit me...


1967 Cadillac El Dorado convertible. From this:



Because, really, what could be more American than a 1967 Cadillac El Dorado convertible? Sorry, I couldn't find one in hot pink. No whale skin seats or baby seal eyes for headlights, either.

I've always loved the Cadillac convertibles, from the early 1950s right up through the boutique '80s versions (and, yes, even the Allante). The land yachts from the '60s and '70s have always been my favorite, and the older I get the more rare (and expensive) the cars become. At this point, I'll have to hit the lottery to afford any of 'em...

Well, they're nice to look at at least...

That's not a '67 pictured. In fact, I don't think Cadillac offered a factory-made convertible for 1967. What's shown in the post looks closer to an early '70s car.
