Friday Car Pr0n, #29

After seeing a 1960 Mercedes 190 at the gas station earlier this week, it got me to thinking about one of my all-time favorite cars from that company:

1955 Mercedes 300, a.k.a. the Gullwing.

There's just something about the gullwing style door, I don't know. It's just so different, so unique. In its time, it was the fastest production car made, and it was the first to offer fuel injection. Lots of innovation coming out of Stuttgart...

Of course, I might feel differently if I tried to get into-or out of- one of these...

That is all.

Nice choice. I saw my first one on the street in the late 50s or early 60s and still find it remarkable.
This is a true classic.

I think the newer version is a nice looking car until someone puts a butt ugly wing on the back of it.
