Just... Go...

Deny at your peril, patriarchy!’ Don’t miss this gut-busting mockery of ridiculous feminist signs [pics]

Seriously, just go click through. Each of the pictures is its own little study in stupid, really. It's like someone designed a Rorschach test for idiots, hipsters, and put-upon spoiled little rich kids, it really is.
  • No, we don't give a rat's ass about your hairy armpits. Really.
  • No, we don't think your vagina has/needs/wants a voice. It's rather sad that's how you view things.
  • No, being polite and smiling when some guy is a jackass has dick-all to do with feminism, it has to do with either manners or not wanting to offend someone larger than you. That's self-preservation.
  • No, feminism has nothing to do with you walking down the street and being unafraid. That's called "staying the hell out of bad neighborhoods."
  • There are a few bright spots towards the end. A few folks decided to rebut with their own signs, and hilarity ensues.
  • And yes, some of the responses are harsh, but remember, they're already judging us before we've spoken a single word...
Just make sure you don't have any breakable objects near the computer, because the stupid is pretty powerful for most of this...

That is all.

Maybe, but she really needs to use a holster.

"being polite when some guy is being a jackass" Hell, even us men have to do that sometimes, either because we don't want some Bubba kicking our asses, or don't want to get fired. Just bite our tongues and walk away.

I made it through two before I wanted to start throwing things.
Dress matters, manners matter. Gender matters, but frankly less than the first two.

I currently have three different 'hats' so to speak: retail clerk, gardener/forester, and 'white collar' professional in some rather conservative high-power circles. My outfits change accordingly and so (while the baseline is polite) do my mannerisms. It's been a study in how behaviour and dress changes perception. It has Nothing to do with feminism, it has everything to do with how the other person perceives you. Equal, not equal, threat, not threat.

The one about the games industry is actually kinda legit, even if she did hipster it up a little with the space invaders thing. Just probably not the same feminism all the rest of those whinefests mean.
