'Catch me if you can' biker nabbed by Texas police
SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - A motorcyclist who taunted San Antonio police for a week with a Facebook video of himself driving recklessly through traffic along with the message "catch me if you can" was caught while sneaking out of a friend's house, police said on Tuesday.Dumbass.
Police took Alberto Rodriguez, 27, into custody on Monday for suspected motorcycle theft and in connection with several outstanding arrest warrants.
See, now, I have an ax to grind here. Two, actually. The guy stole someone's motorcycle. Very uncool. Then to ride around like an idiot in heavy traffic, hitting speeds in excess of 100 MPH? That's just plain stupid. One slight mistake and you're a reddish-brown smear, and someone else has to live with having killed your stupid ass.
Put it this way: if, after you are released from the service of the state you return to your old ways and happen to slide under a municipal garbage truck and get dragged a few miles before finally expiring, I won't shed any tears...
You see, it's morons like you that make life harder for people like me. I just want to ride my motorcycle and enjoy being on two wheels, and people like you make it harder for me to do that safely. People in general are morons, and they're going to equate your actions with every other motorcyclist out there, whether they obey the law or not. Because of your recklessness, you've made it a lot harder for the rest of the motorcycling community.
Oh, and I hope the guy whose motorcycle you stole catches up to you - and is looking for revenge.
That is all.
