Monday Morning Motoralia...

Brad_in_MA sent this in a while back. It got buried in my e-mail inbox, and I just remembered, so here it is, fresh for Monday...

Adult-sized Cozy Coupe brings every kids’ favorite toy to life
I don't know about you, but during my early years, I spent more time scooting around in a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe than I did riding in the back of my mom's VW Scirocco. My legs whirling like Fred Flintstone, it was a toy that cemented my fascination for the automobile; a feeling shared, I'm sure, by many throughout the world. If only someone made a working Cozy Coupe for adults, with an engine that detached us from reality and made us feel like we're back on our parents' driveway, racing dastardly villains.

That dream has now been realized by a couple of British blokes, who ran up a $50,000 bill at work while creating an adult-sized Cozy Coupe out of a Daewoo Matiz.
The kids had one of these that they absolutely loved tooling around the yard in. Pretty much everyone I know that has kids has one of these or something like it. Cars are in our blood;
it's no surprise that someone finally went ahead and did something like this. We've seen real-life renditions of Hot Wheels cars, the Simpsons' "Car built for Homer" and other weird contraptions; this is but the latest in custom wheels brought to life.

I like that it's a couple of Brits that pulled this off; one of my favorite shows from the 90s was "Junkyard Wars", which was pulled from the BBC program "Scrapheap Challenge". "Bodging" - the Brits' slang term for cobbling something together out of nothing - seems to be thriving in the land of the stiff upper lip. Good on ya, mates!

So, what other vehicular conveyance from your childhood would you like to see brought to life?

That is all.
