Headlines I Didn't Expect...

Nun, 84, Gets Three Years Jail for Nuke Complex Break-In
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — A U.S. judge sentenced an 84-year-old nun, Sister Megan Rice, on Tuesday to 35 months in prison for breaking into a Tennessee defense facility where enriched uranium for nuclear bombs is stored.

Fellow peace activists Michael Walli and Greg Boertje-Obed were sentenced to 62 months in prison. The three were convicted of cutting fences and entering the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in July 2012, embarrassing U.S. officials and prompting security changes.
An *eighty-four* year old *NUN* was sentenced to three years in jail. Okay, that part right there is pretty tough to swallow. But it's the next part - for breaking into a nuclear facility. LOLWUT? I just got this mental image of a van of elderly penguins bum-rushing the crack Nuke Team Six with their tactical knuckle-breakers...

And "prompting security changes"? YATHINK? Like, oh, I don't know, making it harder to break into a nuclear facility for OCTOGENARIAN NUNS??? Imagine being the head of *THAT* security group. I certainly hope the person responsible had the moral integrity to resign, if not the integrity to commit seppuku...

And of course, it gives me the excuse to post this again:

Y-12 National Security Complex: Security so porous, it was routinely broken into by nuns...

That is all

Nuns dress in black and sneak into places
Ninjas dress in black and sneak into places.
Nuns are Ninjas.

My logic professor would be so proud.

I don't know about Oak Ridge ... But Rocky Flats had motion sensors and vibration sensors between the double razor wire fence line. ..... A two minute response time to anywhere on the parimiter ..... And a shoot first policy. ....... And no peacenik problems.

Don't ask how I know........ I still can't tell you.

Having been educated by the goddam penguins, I can tell you firsthand that a large portion of them are completely insane social-justice warrior types.
I remember distinctly a showdown between the nun who was principal and the pastor at my church as a kid, over her insane feminist attempts to break from the catechism. She got booted back to the penguin kennel quick as you please. Best day ever.

I took a tour of Oak Ridge a couple of years ago and we got to go to the Y12 facility (at least the public friendly sections). There were several serious looking gentlemen with short haircuts and giggleswitch enabled firearms in evidence. I would not want to try to break into that place without being pretty dang sure of the state of my eternal soul (of course, being a nun... natch).

The irony is that the current (stated) goal of Y12 is converting nuclear payloads into reactor fuel, so the idea of peaceniks rushing the place seems kinda... silly, really.

Either way, I guess it's like the turkeys you posted that would walk through your yard outside of hunting season. There is no penguin hunting season in the US.

A hippie season, though...
