Yes, Even More Stupid!

This one's a doozy...

Pennsylvania suspect arrested after taunting police on Facebook
Police in one northeastern Pennsylvania town really "liked" this Facebook post.

Officers in Freeland arrested 35-year-old Anthony Lescowitch on Monday night, less than two hours after he shared a wanted photo of himself and taunted police for not being able to find him, the (Wilkes-Barre) Times Leader reported Tuesday.
That sound you hear? That's me laughing. Dude re-posts the wanted picture and dares the police to catch him - so they do. That's karma going upside Dumbass's head with a clue-by-four. Sometimes we really *do* get everything that's coming to us, especially when we go out of our way to antagonize the folks responsible for giving it to us...

It really shouldn't surprise me. People are stupid. End of story. It's when they try to get cute that they put their stupidity on display, a brazen and wanton willful exhibition of dumbassery matched only by their penchant for lawlessness. From bored suburban teens who videotape themselves destroying other people's property to thugs who capture themselves beating innocent people for fun, the propensity of the human animal to be a complete and utter moron is great.

Sadly, modern medicine tends to thwart Mr. Darwin far too often...

That is all.

And it even predates the Internet, or at least the publicly accessible 'Net. Back in the mid 80s a guy in Columbus who was responsible for restocking ATMs with cash drove off one night with truckload of the bank's money. They caught him nearly ten years later in Tahiti, where he was living on a houseboat under an assumed name. They caught him because his neighbors at the marina were too noisy, and when the local authorities wouldn't do anything he complained to the American consulate.
