Transportation, Robb Allen Style...

Brad_in_MA sends in this story that can't help but remind you of a certain Florida-based blogger...

The No Pants Subway Ride
The No Pants Subway Ride is an annual event staged by Improv Everywhere every January in New York City. The mission started as a small prank with seven guys and has grown into an international celebration of silliness, with dozens of cities around the world participating each year. The idea behind No Pants is simple: Random passengers board a subway car at separate stops in the middle of winter without pants. The participants do not behave as if they know each other, and they all wear winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. The only unusual thing is their lack of pants.
True Story: When I met Robb, it was during my family's first trip to Disney World (nearly 5 years ago now). Robb and I had talked before the trip and gotten a group together to meet at a restaurant in Downtown Disney. Upon arrive at the restaurant, I discovered that our reservations had been made for a "Mr. NoPants"...

As for this silly event, well, all I'm going to say is that if you deliberately enter a New York subway without pants, man, you're pretty much asking for something to happen to you. No, I don't mean that female participants should expect to be groped - I mean more along the lines of contracting rare and interesting diseases from the plastic seats...

I wonder if they would consider me a participant if I wore my kilt?

That is all.

Technically a kilt is not pants...

I just spent a week in New York, riding the subway and walking everywhere. All while wearing a Utilikilt. Hilarity ensued. Three things in my favor: 1. I'm six foot tall and 245# 2. Very large, mature beard 3. I can always mention being from Alaska.
