Not *Entirely* Out of the Game...

Check out my latest article about a new discreet rifle case at Shooting Illustrated.

I have to admit, this is a great case for a single rifle. There's room to carry everything you need in a case that doesn't look like every other tactical bag out there, and that helps when you're still in the Volksrepublik. I've always been a little leery loading up for a day at the range before - not to mention riding around with rifle cases in the back of the truck...

One thing that I get a kick out of, though, is the folks who point out that it really isn't discreet simply because it has the molle straps. Now, I could understand this criticism if the entire case were covered in molle, but there are a handful of straps on the side. Anyone that understands what those straps are for isn't going to be freaked out by the thought of a rifle...

Anyways, go take a look - I'm still gunblogging, just at the place that pays the bills...

That is all.

I don't think PALS webbing is a big issue. A lot of young wannabe shredders play Call of Battlefield Warfare, so it's natural they'd buy a camo guitar case. In fact, I'm surprised Guitar Center doesn't sell this very case. They have a lot of other products for the impulsive musician.

Nice article, and I suppose you can pinch yourself now, and say "I am getting paid for this!"

Jay, first, congrats on the new gig. Second, if you have occasion to talk with Hazard 4 you might let them know their email - the contact link they have on their web page - is broken.

After I read your Shooting Illustrated piece on their BattleAxe case I sent Hazard 4 an email with a couple questions about it. Which they apparently didn't get because their email must be broken. Or something.

I check your blog daily, so if they ever get their email fixed (I hear Home Depot may have parts for it) mention it on your blog and I'll resend them my questions.

In the meantime, I am looking for a good covert rifle case. Might you know of any?
