Friday Car Pr0n #4

Today's car pic comes to us from Roger, and boy howdy if she isn't a beauty:

That is one SWEET looking Jag. Here's the skinny from Roger:
Mother bought it in 1960 for my dad. It's a '54 Jaguar XK 120 Drop Head Coupe, with the optional factory high performance Special Equipment parts.
Man, but that is nice. All of the British cars from that time frame were something else. Triumph, Austin, Morris, Jaguar; all were just supremely nice looking cars. They weren't as fast as their American counterparts in a straight line, but the handling of, say, an XKE Jaguar vs. a GTO? As much as I love the Goat, the Jag's got it all beat when it comes to handling...

Thanks for sharing that beauty with us Roger!

That is all.

I owned several different British sports cars in that period and "something Else" is certainly the correct adjective. They were great...........

........ Unless, of course it rained, or it was cold out, or you needed to haul something, or it got dark out, etc. etc.

Nice ride! +1 for parking in front of the "No Parking" sign.

A 1960 Jag is not parked. A 1960 Jag is displayed.

Ah yes, Jaguar, with electrics by LUCAS, Prince of Darkness... Seriously, I had a friend with an early 140XK. He always said you needed two; so you would have one to drive while waiting for the other to come back from the shop, heh, heh.
But they sure are purtty and the sound that six makes winding up...
