Foot In Mouth, Part 1

Oh, you know there will be a part 2 today... Stretch sends in this laffer from our favorite gaffer...

Biden Curses GOP Congressman -- on Conference Call with Catholic Clergy!
While speaking on a conference call to Catholic clergy members on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden inexplicably uttered unsuitable language while referring to a US Congressman.

Reacting to the assertion that Steve King (R-Iowa) made regarding illegal immigrants carrying drugs across the US southern border, Biden condescended, “He may be a good Christian, but his comments sure the hell aren’t, excuse my language.”
Pardon my french, but tu est une idiot. In a conference call to FREAKIN' CLERGY, he deliberately uses blue language? Really? This is the man a heartbeat away from the presidency, folks? They went up one side of Dan Quayle and down the other over the misspelling of "potato," but when it comes to Joe Biden swearing in front of clergy members, the sound of crickets is deafening.

I am starting to wonder how much is him being dumb as a bag of hammers versus as arrogant as his boss. I mean, it's hard to believe anyone could be so freakin' stupid as to curse in front of Catholic Clergy while on a conference call - where you know that people are paying extra attention. I think it might just be arrogance - he knows for damn sure the media will never report it, so why not be a boor?

I know, I know, I really shouldn't expect much from ol' Plugs...

That is all.

Jay, I'm all for making fun of Joe. But if saying "Hell," is "blue language" then almost every Christian I know uses blue language as a matter of course.

This is just silly.

He used blue language - specifically, the worst place imaginable for anyone of the Christian faith - IN A CONFERENCE CALL TO CATHOLIC CLERGY.

This wasn't a hot mic at a fundraiser. This was on an official call to religious people

No reason it can't be both, is there?

Sounds like a classic case of "monkey see, monkey do" to me.
