When You've Lost the Associated Press...

The wheels on the bus fall off, off, off...

FACT CHECK: Sebelius misstates law on signup start
WASHINGTON (AP) — Misstating the health care law she is responsible for administering, Kathleen Sebelius has asserted that the law required health insurance sign-ups to start Oct. 1, whether the system was ready or not. In fact, the decision when to launch the sign-up website was hers.

The troubled debut of the government's health insurance enrollment website has raised questions about whether its start date should have been delayed to allow testing and repairs before it went live. Asked last week whether that might have been the wiser course, Sebelius, the health and human services secretary, said that wasn't possible because the law required an Oct. 1 launch.
If the mainstream media is actually, you know, going to do their jobs and report when the administration is lying through their damn teeth, things are about to get very interesting.  Make no mistake - Sebelius knew for damn sure that there was no "law" compelling the health care rollout to occur on a certain day. Had it gone smoothly, I guarantee the Obama administration would be taking full credit for it.

It is worth noting, though, that for once the blatant lie did not go unchecked or unreported (by a news agency other than Fox). Is this just a one-time glitch, and they'll be back to ignoring the lies from the administration (Benghazi was caused by a CA youtuber!)? Or is this the start of actual scrutiny as the media smells blood in the water. Things are going to get bad - REALLY bad - and they don't want to be on the wrong side of history when everything finally implodes...

Here's another incident: Ed Henry, the White House chief correspondent, grilled spokesman Jay Carney about Obama lying about the terms of Obamacare. Now, this is on Fox, of course, but it's still pretty shocking that someone in the White House press corps - the people who have traded their objectivity for access - is actually accusing the President of lying about the Affordable Health Care Act. Why, before you know it, someone will actually get around to noticing that the "Affordable" health care is costing most people far MORE than their current plans...

I know, I know - it's just a one-time glitch and they'll be back to osculating his gluteus in no time...

That is all.

I bet the MSM and administration (but I repeat myself) are getting ready to make her the scapegoat for the rollout debacle.

And more people are now without health care insurance than before.
