My Morning...

Sitting at a kitchen table with my #1 blogdaughter, my red-headed blog stepchild, Mike W., Shorter Half, and Squirrel Report regular Bradley. We're having breakfast-from-a-crockpot, described by Nancy R. as "hot, brown, and plenty of it", coffee from an industrial strength percolator, and after breakfast we have a black powder shoot consisting of flintlocks, blunderbusses, and even two handcannons.

Yes, you may envy me now.

That is all.

I think later today I'm going to blow the living daylights out of old garden gnomes with a BREN. And when the BREN's empty, I have 120 round for my Mosin M44 at the ready.

Wow I will admit my jealousy over the black powder shoot , blogorado , garden gnome BRENification...

Y'all enjoy it and have some fun!

I'm envying you only in that I just drove 2.5 hours each way to REGISTER MY RECENTLY ONE YORK ARMS AR-15 LOWER! I do'ed it, thanks to a tip from New Jovian Thunderbolt, your advice, and Wally's patience. I owe everyone an email.
That's why I didn't show up today. Well, that and the drizzle/rain.
Hope everyone had a "blast".

Wally, Everyone,

The garden gnome wasn't a gnome at all. It was a ceramic Christmas Bear -- so sugary cute it deserved to DIE.

My bud Alan took the first shot with his BREN -- definitely BRENified the little guy. Decapitated him.

I sent Jay the before and after pics, suggesting he needs to make a blog post out of it. Maybe if enough people nag / bully / cajole Jay, he'll actually post the pics.

I myself put some 60 rounds through my M44 and about 8 mags worth of .22 through my 22/45. It was a glorious way to spend a couple hours.
