And The Winners Are...

Well, last night I held the drawing for all of the prize packages. And by "held the drawing" I mean "created an Excel spreadsheet *way* more complicated than it needed to be and then ran it through for the winner". Without further ado, here are the people you should all envy...
  • Prize Package 1a, the Pirate Action Playset: Kurt S.
  • Prize Package 1b, the Indian Action Playset: Spike from GBC
  • Prize Package 2, the LC9 laser sight: commenter and Northeast Bloggershoot attendee Dave H.
  • Prize Package 3, the Multi-Fun Pack: Cheryl of Brauista.
  • Prize Package 4, the York Arms AR-15 lower: Wandering Neurons
  • Prize Package 5, the .22LR ammo: Stretch
  • Prize Package 6, the "Time on your hands" package: Mike M.
Let's have a wonderful round of applause for our lucky winners! Thanks to everyone who donated money to Kilted to Kick Cancer fundraiser, as well as the people who donated the awesome prizes!

And only 11 more months until we do it all over again!

That is all.

That is awesome! Great support for a great cause. Thank you, sir, and all the other bloggers for supporting KTKC.

Thank you, Jay. I've never won anything in a raffle before except cupcakes. Hopefully this will be better for my health.

More importantly though, your campaigning last year prompted me to have that talk with my doctor, and my exam came up A-OK. So even without the prizes, my health is the winner. Thanks again!

Now, does anyone want to mount a campaign against obesity? (grin)

The only other thing I've ever won was a sewing kit at the church bazaar.
Off to clean magazines so the ammo will have a happy, albeit temporary, home.

Thank you for your crazy efforts. Very glad to see the clan get together on this one too.

And a hearty congratz to Wandering Neurons too :)

Nuts, those random numbers are always rigged against me. ;)

Thanks for your efforts Jay!

Congratulations to Jay for another successful KTKC fundraiser, and to all of the prize winners, enjoy your loot! :)

First, congrats to Jay for such an outstanding effort, to all of the contributors, and to the other prize winners.

Next, the rest of my response:
Really, F.M.L.

Wife and I go to Vegas, she's having a blast at the slots, poker, roulette, etc. I'm bored, so she gives me a "Yuppie Food Stamp" ($20 bill) to spend. 30 minutes later, I'm now broke and bored.
I don't buy lottery tickets, I've never matched more than one number.
Unless the eBay auction has a "Buy it Now", I underbid and don't win the product.
So once in my life, I throw a few bucks to JayG for his KTKC effort and split my tickets between several prizes. And for the first time in my life, I win something really cool. One of York Arms AR-15 lowers. Awesome prize.

You see, I live in the state of Maryland. And on October 1, the day after the contest ended, state law made .223 AR-15 lowers ILLEGAL!

Way to go, Jay -- and congratulations to all the winners!

WN: Oh, man. That sucks. Keep your chin up -- I don't know how to handle this, but I'm betting someone will have some ideas.

Jay, if someone were to put together the absolutely awesomest post-Oct Maryland-compliant rifle ever, complete with a kick-butt inscription, what would it look like?

(Gunny ingenuity knows no bounds. If people can come up with a pink CA-compliant Hello Kitty AR-15, what can't we do?)
