A-Freakin'-Mazing...

Okay, y'all just have to watch this. There are some SERIOUSLY talented young men and women, folks:

That is an INSANE amount of training and practice - and they're playing their instruments the whole time!

That is all.

Awesome. On the other end of the spectrum, small and more military: Top Secret Drum Corps Basel. Google their 2006 and 2012 performances.

That's why they're called TBDBITL: The Best Damned Band In The Land.

I like to bag on Ohio State because of the way the university throws their weight around in Columbus, but their marching band is a class act.

And one has to remember: they probably only spent 2 weeks total learning this show. Like all Big 10 (12? 14?) school marching bands, they learn a new show for most home games. I spent 4 years marching at IL, and it's some serious work! Hell of a lot of fun though. Nice job, Buckeyes.

It makes it even more impressive to have been in marching band yourself, and know what goes into that. That's some good choreography, yet fairly easy to learn compared with some of what I've seen. Still requires remarkable skill to pull off.

In a related matter, sprinting around the field with a giant chunk of steel braced to your teeth teaches you to move very quickly, very smoothly REALLY well.
