Just Good People...

Gotta give a shout out to the good folks at Brownells. As you might recall, I recently acquired a "pre-ban" AR-15 lower that was built into a rifle:

Well, the upper that I purchased didn't come with a bayonet lug. And if there's one thing folks know, I love me some bayonets. So, a quick call to my friends at Brownells, and voila!

They were kind enough to send a YHM front sight gas block - with bayonet lug! Wally installed it for me, we fit the upper to the lower, and an evil AR-15 was born. I'm still waiting for someone to explain why the lower being over a certain age makes an upper less deadly with a bayonet or a flash hider. I suspect I'll be waiting for a while. But I do want to thank Brownells for making my bayonet wishes and EBR dreams come true!

Thanks to the good folks at Brownells, I can haz bayonet!

That is all.

And very soon you're going to completely forget the meaning of pre-ban.

When you slap a collapsable stock and bayonet lug on your "post ban" rifle in Virginia...

Man, that looks nice!

Thasnks for sharing that. I've got a hankering for the same sort of upper - a Spike's CHF 16" mid-length to put on either my M400 or 6920 lower. Something about those mid-length carbines just looks & feels "right".

I hope you get to enjoy yours, and more so the better, freer markets in your soon-to-be new home.

Those bayonet lugs are dreaded because when ammunition is outlawed, you may still have a spear. Otherwise, you will only have a club.
