Friday Gun Pr0n #337

Today's pic comes to us from Wally, the maestro of metal from York Arms:

Ruger Mk II, integral suppressor. I've had the pleasure of shooting this gun. To say that it's quiet does it a disservice - you really do only hear the sound of the hammer falling and the slide working, that's how well the integral suppressor works.

This is one of my very favorite pistols from Wally. I'm a huge fan of the integral suppressor for aesthetic reasons - it doesn't look like something's just hanging off the barrel. I know that suppressors that go on a threaded barrel are easier to clean and can be used in multiple applications, and for that they're certainly superior.

But damn it all if that just isn't a drop-dead sexy Mark II...

That is all.

That Ruger made an appearance at Bloggershoot. I can vouch that it was quiet . . . . vewy, vewy, quiet. Ideal for hunting wabbits. Or in the hands of Mosad agents for hunting musloids.

Sexy indeed! The MkII has long been one of my favorite pistols. I'd love to have one like that some day.

I've had one of those suppressed by Ceiner since 1991. I've had to rebuild it four times now. If that one is also by Ceiner, it will get louder with time. Jack.
