There's a review of the Redfield CounterStrike red/green dot/laser sight up at Shooting Illustrated.
I don't know if it comes through in my review, but damn, I really like the CounterStrike. It took a bit of futzing around (and mad props to Wally for helping me out in a pinch!), but we got the CounterStrike installed on my Bushmaster XM15-E2S and hit the range. Here's a helpful tip from your good buddy Jay: July 5th, in the middle of the afternoon, in direct sunlight, is one of the worst places to test a rifle scope. We got the CounterStrike sighted in at 50 yards, and re-testing it on a couple occasions after showed that it was still spot-on.
I brought the Bushmaster to the Sixth Annual Northeast Bloggershoot and let a bunch of folks try the CounterStrike out. It appeared to be a big hit, with folks commenting on the ease of use and clear picture. Point of aim didn't seem to change much from 50 yards to 25 - given that we were shooting at gallon jugs and clays, an inch or so off POA because of the distance change didn't matter much. And for what it may be worth, the laser was crystal clear at 25 yards.
So go read the whole review!
That is all.
