Omni Consumer Products Keeps Looking Better And Better...

#1 Blogdaughter sends this one in. I'm still facepalming...

Detroit police release bra sizes of its officers
Detroit police inadvertently released the bra sizes of female officers when the department notified them three weeks ago that their bullet proof vests were delivered, MyFoxDetroit.com reported.

Police sources told the station that Commander Dwayne Love forwarded the email to commanders, who forwarded it to supervisors, who forwarded it to officers.
Now, I'm curious here. Is the Detroit Police Department issuing bulletproof brassieres to its female officers? That's the only possible reason I can see for needing these measurements. Now, granted, this could simply be shoddy reporting, and the information released was simply the officers' chest measurements, which would be necessary information for a proper fitting vest. But it is hardly outside the realm of possibility that the information was collected regardless of whether it was needed or not...

I *do* wonder just how many of those officers that had bra sizes reported were male...

That is all.

You need to be fitted for a vest. There were chest measurements, not bra sizes for the fit.

"Hand over yer piece, copper, and yer backup too. I know ya got one 'cause it sez here yer a 34, and damned if you don't look like yer packing a pair of 38s."

Okay, maybe I'm not cut out to write crime stories.

We are just now in the process of getting re-fitted for newer body armor, both concealment products and an outer carrier. The multitude of measurements needed for a male is compounded by the extra fitting needed for a female. And yes, there would be some of 'those' measurements as well.

New product idea: The combination manssiere / plate carrier. Supporting your mission, in more ways than one! Available in tiger-stripe, flectarn, woodland, and ACU.

Someone needs to get busy and plot this data on a "curve"... ;)

Breasts mess with everything. It's actually pretty simple--you need extra fabric to go out and then back in/down and the larger the breasts in question, the more difficult this can be. I wouldn't be able to wear the same body armor as an otherwise same-size woman with normal-sized breasts. It's probably easier for women to report their bra size to figure these things, since we know it better than our shoe size.
