IMPD: Homeowner shoots, kills intruder
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police were investigating a fatal shooting during a home invasion that happened just before 3 a.m. Wednesday on the city's southeast side.
According to investigators, officers were called to the 4200 block of East Naomi Street after receiving calls that multiple shots had been fired in the area.3 AM? Ain't nothing good going to come of someone who doesn't live there being in your house at 3 AM. This is yet another report that gets it wrong - they refer to the person that has been shot as the "victim". Unless and until evidence surfaces to the contrary that shows this was anything other than a homeowner dispatching of a goblin, he was no such thing. He made the decision to enter a domicile he had no business being inside in the wee hours of the morning. All he had to do to *not* be a victim was to not break the law.
Instead, he chose his victim poorly, and succumbed to one of the occupational hazards of being a home invader - fatal gunshot wounds.
Dead Goblin Count: 421
That is all.
*Side note: Because of Tam, I can't read "IMPD" as anything other than "I Must Patrol Drunk"...
