Police Accuse Lowell Man Of Robbery With 6-Year-Old Girl In Getaway Car
MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) — A 22-year-old Massachusetts man is accused of attempting to rob a Manchester convenience store Sunday then fleeing in a car with a 6-year-old girl in the back seat, police said.Lovely. Nothing says "growing up right" like being taken along on a car ride while an armed robbery is being planned, right? Being taken out of the car at gunpoint - boy, she's going to have quite the stories to tell when she starts school next month! "Oh, you went to the beach? My mommy took me along for a drive-by and knocking over a convenience store, beeyotch!"
At about 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Manchester Police officers were dispatched to Crosstown Variety at 77 Bremer St. for a robbery in progress, the police said in a prepared statement.
Look, I will readily admit to not having a criminal mind. Growing up in a cop family, walking the straight and narrow just seemed the thing to do. Even now, I will go out of my way to do the right thing and stay on the right side of the law - even when it's a stupid law that's never enforced (please note: I am not talking about speed limits, those are strictly for revenue generation...)
But bringing a 6 year old along on an armed robbery? In NEW HAMPSHIRE? Dude, really? What if that clerk had been armed and taken a few shots at you while you were making your escape? You're willing to risk that child's life over a couple hundred bucks you might have gotten in a convenience store robbery? Nice. Here's hoping someone pounds some sense into this loser right quick.
Remember, folks, according to Mayor Mumbles, all those illegal guns in Boston are brought in from states like New Hampshire - so this is only turnabout with MA exporting her dumb criminals...
That is all.
