Follow-up: Looks Like "Bugnuts Crazy" Wins!

Joseph in IL sends in a followup to a story I covered over the weekend:

DC Green Paint Vandalism Suspect Arrested.
WASHINGTON - A woman was arrested today and charged with defacing property for allegedly throwing green paint on the organ at the National Cathedral, and investigators are looking into whether she is the same person who splashed similar paint on the Lincoln Memorial and a statue of the first Smithsonian secretary.

The three acts of vandalism were all committed within the last four days, and had baffled officials.
Now, I don't know. Maybe there is some deep-seated connection between Abraham Lincoln, the National Cathedral organ, and Joseph Henry, the first Secretary of the Smithsonian. Or, maybe, we have us a serious nutball who needs thorazine squirted down her throat with a turkey baster. Smart money's on the latter. I'm sure in her own little way she thought she was making some grand protest, when in truth - to the rest of the world - she's some loon running around with a bucket of paint and a brainpan full 'o' crazy.

At least for the time being the Maine Lobster Memorial is safe from green paint!

That is all.

Why is nobody demanding answers from the environmental lobby? How many more national treasures must be defaced before we enact common sense paint controls? We need to take immediate steps to close the paint chip loophole.

And don't you dare accuse me of painting with too broad a brush!

I'm with holding judgement till I hear the 'rest' of the story... A little too convenient if you ask me...

Now who could possibly be against those sort of things?

Why green? I thought the whole idea was to Paint It Black.

Unless green is the new black, OK for next gen night vision, or so they say.

"I thought the whole idea was to Paint It Black."

Sometimes what appears to be black is actually a deeply tinted green.
