Picture Jay Giggling Here...

Best thing I read yesterday?

Lt. Governor Tim Murray Resigns From Post
BOSTON (CBS) — Lt. Gov. Tim Murray has resigned from his post at the State House, effective June 2nd.

Murray said he was not actively searching for employment opportunities when he was approached about the job as head of Worcester Chamber of Commerce.
Riiiiiight. The Worcester Chamber of Commerce approached a guy with ties to questionable fundraising efforts (and known poor driving skills) out of the goodness of their hearts. I'm sure Murray's impressive business acumen is what made the City of Worcester offer him a $200K/year gig. I mean, he was great for the car repair business and late-night pundits...

Tim Murray is out of MA politics. Late night comedians and Howie Carr are weeping. State-owned vehicles are breathing a sigh of relief. Businesses that make lifts for men's shoes are uncommitted. No comment on what this means for the MA Attorney General - the one who so zealously prosecuted Tim Cahill for "abusing" his position as Treasurer - and her investigation into Murray's dealings with disgraced Chelsea Housing Authority Chief Michael McLaughlin...

Honestly, though, anything that keeps Tim Murray away from the reins of power is a good thing - like hiding the stepstool...

That is all.

Jay,

There's an even bigger item in question. Some pundits are suggesting that The One could drop Holder and replace him with Coupe DeVal. Without a Lt. Gov., and being forced to select one, does that bode well for Gov. Patrick to *not* be tapped to replace Holder? Inquiring minds want to know.
