Friday Gun Pr0n #315

After Wednesday's good news about the gun control bill being shot down (ha! Gunnie puns!), I knew there was only one picture that would fit today:

Note to self: Get updated Gonzalez flag for next picture.

For now, our semi-automatic sporting rifles are safe. For now. I made a comment on Facebook Wednesday night, while Obama was throwing his tantrum: "Dear President Obama: We won." It was, obviously, a nod to his infamous comment to GOP leaders in discussions over the stimulus in 2009 - the gist being that since Obama won the presidency, he was in charge of the discussions as he had the will of the people behind him.

I don't think they will stop trying to ban my rifles. I think, ultimately, they want to see an England or Australian style gun ban (Go read Julie's stories about what she needs to do in order to purchase a bolt action rifle. She's got Part 1 and Part 2 posted, and she still has a Part 3 coming. She states, almost off-hand, that she's never had a purchase take less than 90 days...). Semi-automatic anything is out, as are any handgun with a barrel under 5" (although that may be Canada I'm thinking of). They won't quit until they have taken away our effective tools of defense.

And we're going to fight them every step of the way.

That is all.

Well, Barry just announced that he's going to put out Executive Orders enabling the easier access to Mental Health Databases so the NICS system can have greater accuracy.

Just like he could have done since January 2009.

Just like the NRA has been asking for these past few months.

Just like a REAL President SHOULD be doing: HIS JOB.

Fly your flags proudly for as long as you can, because they're coming for those next.

Uh, Les. Access to "mental health databases" isn't what Obama wants. He wants access to individuals' medical info. Just because someone is taking an anit-depressant or anti-anxiety drug doesn't make them a wack job. TS
