Two In A Row!

Bob S. was kind enough to send in this addition, which shows what happens when a goblin brings a toy to a gunfight...

Clerk shoots robbery suspect armed with toy gun in Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A robbery suspect with a toy gun was shot and killed in a northeast Harris County smoke shop late Sunday.

The man's body was found in the parking lot of a strip center near the Eastex Freeway and Winfield Road around 9 p.m., deputies said.

I hate these kinds of stories. Oh, the goblin got exactly what was coming to him, don't get me wrong. But you just know, as sure as G-d made little green apples, that some bleeding heart will be rending their chest asking why the clerk had to shoot the poor aspiring rap artist. "It was just a toy!" we'll hear ad nauseum, as though the clerk knew that when it was placed to his head.

Again, not wanting to sound too much like a broken record, but we don't know what the goblin has in mind when they come through the door waving a weapon. It might be a gun, it might be an airsoft, BB gun, or replica, too. I'm not willing to bet my life that it's a toy, though. You point something that looks like a gun at me, I am going to respond just like you pointed a real gun at me.

Shorter: Mess with the bull, sometimes you get the horns.

Dead Goblin Count: 377

That is all.

Toys are for games, right?

Well, "play stupid games..."

So, let me get this straight:

An adult uses a toy gun that looks and feels like a real gun to commit an actual crime? Hey, just fun and games, nothing to shoot anybody over. Victim of society, doncha know.

Kindergarten girl points a bubble toy on the playground? Suspend for five days, and remand her for counseling for making "terroristic threats".
