‘Luke’s Change’ argues Death Star’s downfall was an inside job
The controversial film “Loose Change” built a following over the years with its conspiracy theories about the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. On a decidedly less controversial note, Graham Putnam has come up with a conspiracy theory of his own, which he put into a YouTube video entitled “Luke’s Change." The video makes the humorous argument that the Skywalker family from the Star Wars saga actually staged the attack on the Death Star.
In a decidedly satirical tone, Putnam describes the seven-minute film as, “An examination of some questionable events and circumstances leading up to the destruction of the Death Star, through the eyes of an amateur investigative journalist within the Star Wars galaxy.“Now, I forget. Was "Loose Change" the movie that caused Rosie O'Donnell to opine about fire being unable to melt steel? Or was this the one that claimed the bin Laden family was flying out of Logan Airport despite all flights being grounded immediately after 9/11? After twelve years, the conspiracy theories tying that evil moron psychopath genius puppet George Bush to Halliburton, freemasons, and C. Montgomery Burns all kinda blend together...
In any case, here's a humorous take on the first (the three pre-quels don't count - see Jar Jar Binks for proof) of the Star Wars movies. The entire film is viewable at the link - give a look, it's very well done. There's a couple gaffes that diehard Star Wars fans will find disconcerting, but overall they manage to balance a skewering of the "Loose Change" nonsense with the Star Wars universe.
Well done, folks!
That is all.
