So, I Had A Crazy Idea...

Well, actually, SCI-FI had a crazy idea:
"For LE/Govt customers in New York:

Your orders have been cancelled."

^^^^^^^^^^^^
How do you sleep at night, with brass balls that large?

Bravo!

If you have a York Arms t-shirt, I will wear it-

(in an e-mail to Wally, copying me since I posted the link to York Arms' embargo of New York)

And with that last phrase, an idea was born...

Pretty snazzy, no? Wait until you see the back:

Here's where it gets better, though. If there's a significant interest, SCI-FI will look into silk-screening for a larger batch (25 - 50 T-shirts, no word on what the cost would be there). What we'd really like to do is have 20 -30 or so folks ordering shirts at ~ $15 - $20 each, with an eye towards buying a batch of 50 and giving Wally whatever number are left over. He has walked away from money in the bank over this principle, and we'd love to say "thanks" in the form of some York Arms shirts.

So, anyone else interested in a York Arms "Stick it to the man in NY" T-shirt?

That is all.

Shirt looks good. Should it have a pic of a glock or an AR rather than a musket? Don't get me wrong, but in NY they don't even want their subjects to have muskets.

Doesn't look like a musket to me. Looks like a Schutzen rifle. Either way, it is the normal York Arms logo.

Obviously, I'm in.

In. I may even have to find an excuse to buy another AR...

A huge attaboy to Wally and all the other manufactures who are making the same decision.

Put me down for one in XL. How can I pay and to whom?

I'm in for a large. Jay, if you could update the blog when/if this actually happens with how to pay?

thanks,

In for an XL

Awesome response, everyone. I think we have enough to start looking into getting this done.

Once we have an idea how many shirts we'll be ordering, we'll know the price. I will keep everyone posted...

Ground floor for official York Arms schwag here, folks!

I'll take two, XL please. Also I'm going to post this in the NY firearms forum, as I'm sure there will be significant interest there too.

One in XL, please.

LaRue, Olympic Arms, now York. Any others? Looks like this is starting to snowball. I hope the trend continues- not because I don't support LEOs and military but because this sends a clear message to the state of NY.

One in XXL, one in L, one in XL.....

Wow,
You guys are all great.

I got a chuckle at Sci-fi's idea, but I am completely floored with your responses and support!

I'll take one in XL.

Glad to have escaped New York.

Me, please! Definitely. Absolutely!

XL for me as well...

I may need to do a shirt as an FFL, listing all the states that I won't sell to because the MFRs don't want their products going to those states. We can't be letting the FFL Loophole be exploited as a way for these states to circumvent the MFR embargo.

I like it. I'd take one.

Two of 'em, size L, please.

Jay, if you want to run with an idea, set up a 2nd blog, but not a long-form writing site.

Just list updates and compilations of every company that's on board with the whole Barrett/York/LaRue mindset, and what States and departments are on the naughty list.

It'll be a great resource for us to know what vendors to support, and a good draw to get other manufacturers on board with the same.

Could be a good industry opportunity for you, as well.

I'm in for one in 3XL.

skidmark said...

I'm in for two 3XL and 1 M.

And I would like to see Wally getting an "obscene" profit on the shirts, rather than merely recovering costs to make and ship. An idea such as this needs to be rewarded with more than "+1+ and "Like".

stay safe.

If you do two in 4X, I'll buy 'em and wear them to every gun show I attend! won't be many if they don't get this ammo situation under control.
