Monday Morning Addition

Reader Eric sends in the first addition of the week.

Family fights back when 3 gunmen storm their home; one intruder shot
HOUSTON –A 21-year-old man sprang into action to protect his family Thursday night when three suspects barged into their northwest Harris County home.

The young man was home with his mother and father in the 3900 block of Brook Garden when the armed men forced their way into the house around 8 p.m., according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies.

8:30 at night. Three suspects. That's the part that worries me. This wasn't a smash-n-grab. This wasn't a "hey, let's walk in and see if there's anything we can grab and pawn". This was "we're going in and to hell with anyone in that house" - or it was a case of having the wrong address. What would have happened had that young man - a "child" according to the Bradys and CSGVers - hadn't been able to get to a proper tool of self-defense against multiple invaders?

What would have happened if he had only had an empty double barreled shotgun, like Smilin' Joe Biden recommends?

Dead Goblin Count: 373

That is all.
