There Is No Honor Among Thieves - Nor Aim, Apparently...

Heh. Joseph in IL sends in this story of instant karmic retribution.

Cops: Robber accidentally stabbed by partner on Blue Line train
A robber was accidentally stabbed in the back by his partner as the pair held up a 70-year-old man on a Blue Line train downtown early Wednesday morning, police said.
The two approached the man inside the O’Hare-bound car near the LaSalle Street station around 12:30 a.m. after following him from the Kedzie stop on the West Side, police said.
Oopsie. My bad. Now, sadly, the gentleman they attacked was left with multiple fractures from his beating, and one of the goblins escaped, so it's not entirely a happy ending. The thought, though, of this young tough taking a blade betwixt the blades by his own partner just gives me all sorts of warm and fuzzy feelings. With any kind of luck they'll lean on the injured thug a little and get his friend arrested as well - something tells me after getting stabbed and abandoned by his partner, he won't be all that enthusiastic about protecting him.

It's a pity, though, that this happened in an area where the victim was prohibited from just shooting the bastards.

That is all.

This tale led me on a mental tangent to the Dredsen Dolls' song "Backstabbers."
