Fifth Annual Northeast Blogger Winter Dinner, 30 Second Update, Final...

Just wanted a quick post to remind folks that our Fifth Annual Northeast Blogger winter dinner is tomorrow night at 7:00 PM at KC's Ribshack in Manchester, NH (837 Second St. Manchester, NH 03102 - for those setting their GPSs!) Ask for "Party for Jay" at the host station; we should be upstairs like we have been in previous dinners. KC's is open until 10, so we'll have a few hours to eat and chat; we may have options after the restaurant closes (to be discussed at the dinner).
I have a favor to ask of anyone traveling near or (ideally) through Boston. Phil R. is visiting from the UK, and would love to come to the dinner. He's staying in Boston and has no way to get to the dinner, so if anyone is traveling through Boston and/or wouldn't mind meeting up with him at a pre-determined location, it'd be great to arrange something. If anyone would be available/interested, give me a holler and I'll put you in touch with Phil. Thanks!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again, especially our guests that are traveling (some from as far away as OH and other points distant). We've got a surprise mystery guest coming as well, to be revealed at the meet, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening. Y'all are some of my very favorite folk, and my only regret is that we don't do this more often!

See everyone tomorrow night at 7 at KC's!

That is all.

I live two towns over. If Phil R can take the Red Line out to Alewife, I'd love to give him a lift.

JayG, everybody: because every conspiracy needs a social secretary! Seriously, man, thanks for putting the word out.

@Kevin: aww, shucks; thanks for the endorsement!

@TJIC: thanks for the offer, but it looks like I'm all set. Jay's put me in touch with JD, who's very kindly agreed to swing by and fetch me at the hotel.

All in all, I can personally bear witness that gunnies are some very cool and awesome folks, and I look forward to getting more evidence tomorrow night!

Man, glad to hear y'all figured out a ride for Phil. I just crunched numbers, and we could've came in via Boston, but he'd have had a long walk back...

If I can persuade my son into taking a 6 hour or so long drive up that way tomorrow, can we get in or is it booked? Not sure I can persuade him at this short notice but maybe and I certainly have nothing better to do than meet up with some truly excepional folks for dinner.

All the best,
Glenn B

Glenn, you are more than welcome if you want to make the drive!

Well, I will not be making it after all. My copilot decided to go out and get snockered with his friends last night and he has not come home yet. He has informed me he is alive and well but I am sure he has one heck of a hangover to which he probably will never admit. Maybe next time but for now I have to cancel a hotel reservation. Have a nice time and say hi to all or me please.

All the best,
GB

Well, I'm here in the parking lot. Srsly, my class was over an hour earlier than I planned AND I had coffee for an hour with a couple of friends and I'm still incredibly early.
