Favorite Kind...

While perusing a story about a DGU involving a store clerk, I came across my favorite kind of DGC addition. First day of 2013, first addition, and it's a good one...

Woman kills ex-boyfriend who invades her home
ABILENE, TX -- Abilene police say a 34-year-old man has been shot and killed by his estranged girlfriend after he barged into her home.

Police found Earnest Gonzales wounded early Wednesday in the front yard of the woman's home. He died later at a hospital.

I will never get tired of hearing these stories. Woman dumps scumbag. Scumbag takes offense and decides to "do something about it" - maybe he wants to scare the woman, maybe he wants to make sure she never dates another man. Woman catches him in the act and shoots him dead. Everyone goes home happy except the goblin, who brought it upon himself.

There's no fearful call to 911 as he tries to break into her house. There's no panicked voice on the taped recording praying that the cops get there before he kills her. Best of all, there's no heartbreaking story in the paper the next day detailing the dozens of laws he broke before killing her. No, she realized that her best line of defense was herself, and acted accordingly.

And, this being Texas, the likelihood of her being prosecuted for a good shoot is shockingly low...

Dead Goblin Count: 355

That is all.

Thanks Jay. I get so sick of hearing news stories that include the words "mom's boyfriend." They're never good.

That very much depends upon where you live in Texas, but if the event fairly closely matches the reporting on it then, yeah, "estranged girlfriend" is likely going to end up free to get on with her gun-owning life without being too badly out-of-pocket (depends upon how badly the local DA thinks he needs to be seen "doing something" in the local community).

Who wouldn't have done the same thing as she watched her innocent 16 year daughter get attacked? ...WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. ~LT,Abilene,Tx

Hey Jay,

Just an FYI. She may very well be a bitch who dumped a perfectly good guy and then shot him because he was trying to see his own kid. Whattya wanna be that newborn was his?

Ask some of your buddies who've been dumped/divorced and you may get a whole new perspective on "domestic violence."

Jay I'm not sure how to contact you but I will try to figure it out. As for you "ANONYMOUS" I'm going to ignore your ignorant assumption and pray that you never watch your 16 your old daughter get threatened, punched, and beat for trying to protect her mother.
