I Know What *I* Want For Christmas!

Stretch sends in what could possibly be the most awesome used car ad I've ever seen...

Original Batmobile for sale for the first time
The first and some would say greatest of all Batmobiles, the one that started it all, is going on sale for the first time at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, on January 19th, 2013. This is the iconic Batmobile made by legendary car customizer George Barris for the 1966 Batman television series starring Adam West in the title role. It still has all the Batgadgets even the most covetous and demanding of comic nerds could wish for and a pre-Bat history that the most covetous and demanding of car nerds could only dream of.

The. freakin'. Batmobile. Is. For. Sale.

This could be in my garage. If I had been one of the two people to hit the Powerball jackpot last week, that is... Of course, it would necessitate a larger garage...

Or perhaps a cave...

That is all.

You're going to have to wrestle my friend in Pittsburgh for it. He's been lusting for one of the replicas for years. When this one came up for sale, he nearly blew a gasket.

I didn't realize Barris still owned it, but considering its pedigree I'm not surprised.

Quick Weer'd, to the Jay Cave!

Although you two as the Ambiguously Gay Duo is enough to give me shivers, and not the good kind.

I never noticed the huge forward blind-spot from the panel where the blinky light is mounted between the bubble canopies. Cool to look at - but it must suck to drive! And I'm speaking from experience. I have a first year "New" Beetle with A-pillars you can hide an 18-wheeler behind!

Lot 5037... Probably go up on the block Prime Time Saturday... I suspect somewhere in the $2 to $3 Million range ... but probably not the top dollar car for the Auction.. There are at least 3 other cars in the Auction with the potential to go for more....It will be broadcast on Speed Channel.
