Thoughts and Prayers...

I struggled with writing this post, because it's a balance of giving out too much personal information vs. support. Support won out.

Two things. My good friend Wally just lost his mom. He could really use your good thoughts and kind words right now, as the place he's in isn't one I'd wish on my worst enemy. I consider Wally a good friend, and it's killing me to see him in this kind of pain. If you could spare some kind words and a few moments talking to The Big Guy, I think it'd mean a lot to Wally.

Secondly, another good friend dixie is undergoing a thyroid biopsy today. She's had a lump on her neck that has grown significantly in the past few months and is having it removed. They won't know if it's cancerous or benign until it's out and tested, so if you're the praying kind, please pray for benign.

I know I've been asking for a lot recently, but these are two good folks going through some really rough times right now. I know they could use all the good thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes possible at the moment.

Thank you.

That is all.

Lord, please give Wally comfort and solace in his grief, and give Dixie the peace and strength to face whatever is coming.

And Lord, please give JayG some comfort, too, as it's very hard to watch good friends suffer and not be able to do anything to ease their pain.

Thanks. This makes two close friends to lose loved ones within a month's span. :(

I sent Wally and email - his mom, and those she has left behind, are in my prayers.

As for Dixie, no link to her emil on her blog, but the prayers are being said for her. I went through the same basic thing twice - once being told my lump was a cyst and having it surgically removed, then just about a year and 3 months or so later, being told the 'new' lump was cancer and spread so badly they would not operate. The wait to find out, benign or cancer, is scary but whatever it is - she can kick its arse.

By the way, I wanted to say thanks for helping arrange for my friend Jen to donate the homemade lap blanket for a fund raising cause.

All the best,
Glenn B

Crud, I'm so sorry for them and for you Jay. My prayers, and my heart, go out to them.

Please could you pass my sympathy onto Wally - it seems that his email is a bit iffy atm.

I'm in contact with Dixie and yes, prayers have been said for both.
