Man Shot While In Moving Car On I-93
BOSTON (CBS) – Massachusetts State Police are investigating a shooting on I-93 Sunday morning.
Around 1 a.m., police say there was a car-to-car shooting on 93 northbound in the Randolph-Braintree area.
Okay, now this is about an hour or more away from the last car-to-car shooting in the Volksrepublik, which happened over the summer, so it's unlikely to be related. It's just interesting that in a state with some of the strictest gun laws in the nation we still see this sort of thing happen - you know, it's like people ignore the gun laws or something. In a state which requires a permit simply to own a firearm, which has single-digit gun ownership, which has an Assault Weapons Ban *and* an Approved Firearms Roster, we still see people breaking the laws.
I'm sure someone will suggest just one more law in response to these isolated incidents; perhaps a "no guns in cars" law or something that will effectively kill concealed carry. It will completely escape them that the criminals will, as is their wont, ignore this new law just like all the other gun laws; that it will be a completely useless and utterly ineffectual law that will only hurt the people that are already inclined to follow laws, regardless of how ill-conceived and stupid they are.
But then again, as a smart man says, gun control is what you do instead of something...
That is all.
