Why Is It?

Why is it that on Saturday, when we had no commitments whatsoever, both kids are up before 7AM, yet this morning, one child is still lounging in bed while the other is just starting to get ready for the day? We have to be at church in less than an hour, and Sunday School after that. I'll be taking them shopping afterwards, basically to keep them out of the house while the Mrs. sleeps (she worked the overnight last night) and naturally both kids need a fire lit under them.

Oh, well, if it were easy anyone could do it, right?

That is all.

My son is up and rolling on the weekends. On a school day I could fire off a black powder blank and he would just roll over and say 5 more minutes daddy.....

Homework just can't complete with McFly. Infernal invention of Philo Farnsworth. Damn his cursed squack box.

Just wail till you are inducted into the Oulde Pharts Club - get up at 4:30 in the morning in oder to have everything ready to roll out the door at 8. Now, if only I could remember where I'm rolling out to, let alone why at such an ungodly hour.

stay safe.

Ohhh just wait till they're teen aged. It will require more than black powder to get 'em out of bed. But, they will stay up all night long on the telephone or with electronic games.
Myself, I wanted to be a fly on the wall on my son's first morning at Parris Island when the gentle Sgt. came to rouse the recruits from their peaceful slumbers. :->

To quote a very wise person: "I recommend a cattle prod. Or, if you want old-school, cat-o-nine tails..."

Keep a jar of marbles in the fridge. There's no where to hide from the cold marbles when your laying in the bed :)

Of course its hard. Its supposed to be hard. Its the hard that makes it GREAT!

Cherish the moments, because too soon they will be gone, and they will be making babies of their own!
