Sunday Gunday...

Headin' north for some quality long distance rifle shooting with Wally. May be making a tactical error on the way, though - meeting at Cabelas first. Well, I do need ammo, right?

I'm hoping to get one rifle sighted in (more on this later) and put some rounds through the MG Arms K-Yote when the target isn't the size of a small rodent and moving. I'm going to test their 1/3 MoA claim - although given my modest rifle skills I'll be happy for 1-2 MoA...

The weather here is rainy and raw, thanks to Hurricane Sandy (which, BTW, has already closed the kids' school, FML). I'm hoping it's a little better north, although a lousy weather day on the range beats a sunny day doing yardwork, that's for certain...

For now, though, the sign is officially out: Gone Shootin'...

That is all.

So, I am curious...

How many friends and relatives do you have who say they'd never live in Florida or someplace like that because of the hurricanes?

Hurricanes don't bother me any more than tornadoes did in Ohio or snowstorms do in upper New York. The reason I don't want to live in Florida is the heat and humidity.

Just got back from there! Stopped at Kittery Trading Post, where it was quite busy, also went to camp to see what effects the earthquake had. (None)
We'll have to coordinate a trip some time.

I got my range time inn before the rain started, now I'm just hanging out at the clubhouse bar. We're having a hurricane party, cooking uo alk the food in the freezer since the club will likely lose power for a week.

Enjoy the range time, and REMEMBER the wind correction so you can take it out later... Just sayin...
