Hack state rep tries to get rival arrested
The hack du jour is state Rep. Denise Andrews (D-Orange). She may be the most desperate politician in Massachusetts this year.Without a shred of evidence other than "a concerned constituent told me", she called the cops and reported that her rival had purchased cocaine. She accused her political opponent of committing a crime without a single shred of evidence other than an anonymous tip. Nice. She's refusing to name whoever called her, as well as the name of the police officer who allegedly went to her opponent's home to collect the cocaine.
She is so desperate that she accused her GOP opponent of buying cocaine — and didn’t have some coatholder make the allegation anonymously, but did it herself, in person, to the chief of police in her rival’s hometown of Athol.
There is not a single thing in her story that can be backed up with facts. She's using the police power of the state - combined with her office - to intimidate her political opponent. She should resign immediately - unless her "anonymous" source wants to come forward with their "proof". She won't resign, though, and the voters will return her to office because she has a "D" after her name.
For shame, state rep Denise Andrews (I've linked her page so hopefully this will show up on Google searches). There's contact information there, and if you feel inclined to drop her a note, please be polite and professional in telling her what you think of her disgraceful actions.
MA: Where the politics are dirty, and the politicians are dirtier.
That is all.
