The charity raffle was a great success. People opened their hearts and their gun safes to donate their pre-ban magazines for our brothers and sisters trapped behind enemy lines in Massachusetts (thanks for the "Assault" Weapons Ban, Mitt Romney!). We have ten magazines that I'll send north to JayG in Yankeeland for the New England blogshoot this summer. Solidarity!Because these are the dreaded, evil "ZOMG ASSAULT MAGAZINES", Borepatch shipped them to Doubletrouble, who lives in Live Free or Die Land and therefore can handle a magazine with a capacity of greater than 10 rounds without being driven into a murderous frenzy. He was going to give them to me at the Northeast Bloggershoot, but the craziness of the day got to us both and I arrived back home to an e-mail that said, basically, "hey dummy, you forgot your magazines"...
So yesterday I went to the Sooper Seekrit range with two purposes: First, Doubletrouble offered up his chronograph for me to
Four 30-round AR magazines (a fifth had "6-05" stamped on it, and while it looked old enough to drink in a bar, the fact that it could possibly be taken for a "born on" date was enough for me to pass. If anyone would like it, let me know...), one 20-round AR magazine, and four 20-round FAL magazines. I'll pass those on to Weerd; the AR magazines have already found a good home (mine). :)
From the Volksrepublik of Massachusetts, I offer my brothers (and sisters) in [clap][clap][clap][clap] deepinahearta Texas a hearty thanks!
That is all.
