Democrat Elizabeth Warren, who has made fighting for workers a focus of her Senate campaign, was a hired legal gun for a steel conglomerate trying to dodge paying health and pension benefits to thousands of retired coal miners, records show.If this hadn't come hot on the heels of the news that Warren was working on behalf of Travelers Insurance against asbestos workers, we might be able to buy that this was just one case. Of course, that's assuming that she's even licensed to practice law...She seems to be the gift that just keeps on giving, with one skeleton after another emerging from her closet.
Warren represented LTV Steel in 1995, when she was a Harvard Law professor, aiding the bankrupt company’s bid to overturn a court ruling forcing it to pay its former employees and dependents $140 million in retirement benefits.
If I seem like I'm being overly biased against Elizabeth Warren, it's for good reason. I'm not pleased with Scott Brown - he's a RINO in the classic Mitt Romney mold - yet Warren and her amateur hour campaign are forcing me to vote for him. She went extremely negative really early - tying Brown to Todd Akin, for starters - because that's all she has. She's playing the class warfare card like there's no tomorrow - all the while representing large corporations against blue collar workers.
I may not like RINOs, but I dislike raging hypocrites even more.
That is all.
