Feel-Good Story of the Day...

Heh. I love this.

St. Paul mom, daughter hold burglar at gunpoint
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - A St. Paul mother and daughter pinned a burglar to the floor of their home and called police, while keeping a pink-stocked gun pointed at their intruder until officers arrived.

"What the hell are you doing in my home?" said 56-year-old Rebecca Larson, when she found suspected burglar Marty Childs inside of her Fremont Street house on the afternoon of Sept. 16.
There's video at the link. The gun is a Taurus Millennium - with a pink frame. Yay pink guns! The mom interviewed talks about fighting back, and how if the intruder wants stuff, he should get a job - talk about hate speech.

And here's the best part, from the mom (taken from the video):
Things could have turned tragic if we didn't have that gun in the house.
Yeah. And the Brady Campaign would prefer you didn't have that gun...

That is all.

Thanks to maddmedic for the link!

Unpossible! Every one KNOWS that Pink Guns are just a Sexist Marketing Tool used to sell Guns to Women!

Not his first time, either.

"Marty Childs was just released from prison for a first-degree burglary conviction on May 21. He has at least nine prior felony convictions for burglary, theft and other charges."

Sounds like he just needs to stay in jail for a good long while, this time.

Aaaaahhhh... Thank you for posting this!

I had been annoyed this morning that little seems right in our world today.

But this restores my faith that there is yet hope for us.

And reminds me why I recently purchased a pink rifle (well, stainless Ruger 10/22 with pink Tapco stock kit) for my kids. Though mostly my daughter...
