Wow. If hubris were a source of energy, the sheer amount displayed in this story could power a major city for months...

Vets Cry 'Disgrace' Over Obama-Spangled Banner

An American flag with President Obama's image in place of the stars flew over a Florida county's Democrat headquarters long enough to enrage local veterans who called the altered banner "a disgrace."

Lake County Democratic Party officials took down the flag, which flew just below a standard Old Glory on the flagpole outside headquarters in Tavares following complaints by local veterans. But merely taking it down wasn't enough for several local veterans, who said they fought for the flag Betsy Ross made famous, not one with a politician on it.

The flag in question:

I'm just trying to imagine the unholy s**tstorm that would have engulfed the country if GOP headquarters in FLA had displayed a flag with George W. Bush's likeness on it in 2004. Just imagine. You think that the only place we'd see the news would be on local stations and Fox? Doubtful...

What's sad is that the flag flew for months before anyone noticed it. I mean, I certainly don't expect Democrats to abide by the US Code for Respect for the Flag, but still.

The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

Countdown to charges of racism, inclusion in the Tea Party, reference to Teabaggers, or some combination thereof in 3... 2... 1...

That is all.

I'll bet the liberals wouldn't mind a pledge of allegiance to that flag.

This, unfortunately, is in my county. It is not a liberal county, and I'm doubting it will be there long. However, between that and the city I live in willing to be sued by FL Open Carry over their violation of state law, I'm starting to wonder what's going wrong down here. I'm starting to think that people are moving here from up north and getting their brains baked by the sun. It's getting to the point where I see the words "Lake County", Leesburg, or "Central Florida" in an article and I cringe.

It seems like no matter were you move the liberal a##holes are right behind you moving away from a state they fu$ked up so bad THEY can't stand it anymore. Then the first thing they do is say "what do you mean they don't have a law against THAT". And it all starts over again.

Maybe the vets should have exercised their right to burn that flag...just not bothering to take it down first....
No, really, the guy does have a right to fly that flag, BUT, he needs to understand this: while he may have the right to be an ass, we all have the right to call him on it.
