I Love My Blogsons...

Because they send me stories like this:

Charges filed in Overland Park banjo self-defense case
Attacked by a man wielding a frying pan and a knife, an Overland Park man swung his banjo.

Police say the Monday banjo blow to the head stopped the assailant, who was treated for a cut and taken to jail.

I really have nothing else to add to this, except perhaps that it's amazing that someone finally found a good use for a banjo... (more banjo jokes here)

You might be a redneck if you've ever used a banjo in self-defense...

That is all.

Thanks to Merlin for sending this along!

Clearly, the attacker (and perhaps the defender) was highly strung . . .

:-p

I thought you were supposed to use the banjo on the knee.

Brings new meaning to the old southern saying, "Paddle faster, I hear banjos!"

The only positive thing to come out of this might be a new 5 day waiting period to purchase a banjo.

Somewhere around 1990 there was a local domestic violence murder with a banjo as the murder weapon.

Google came up with a different banjo murder....

What is the definition of "gentleman?"
Some one who knows how to play the banjo ... but doesn't.

That scene from 'Support Your Local Gunfighter' keeps coming to me---
"You couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a banjo!"

Does anyone else hear the phrase "El Kabong" from the Quick Draw Mcgraw cartoons
